What is a Colonic?

Also known as colonic irrigation, colon hydrotherapy or high colonic, a colonic is a safe, effective method for hydrating, and evacuating the colon by gently flushing the colon repeatedly with warm purified water.

What happens in a colonic session?

After the person is comfortably positioned on the equipment, the rectal nozzle is inserted about 1 1/2 inches. A gentle flow of gravity fed warm water begins.  The water flowing into the colon starts peristalsis (muscular action of colon) which causes release of water and waste. This process begins at the rectum, continues to transverse section and then to the cecum, breaking up waste matter and achieving complete evacuation of the colon.

Who should NOT have a colonic?

You should consult your doctor or licensed health care practitioner if you have questions or concerns about your health.
Contraindications include but are not limited to:


~Cancer of colon, rectum
~Recent colon, rectal or abdominal surgery
~Congestive heart failure
~Intestinal Perforation
~Fissures or Fistula
~Diverticulitis
~Abdominal Hernia
~Severe Hemorrhoids
~Cirrhosis of the Liver
~Renal Insufficiency( difficulty urinating)
~First or third trimester of Pregnancy

Can I go back to work after a session?

Yes. You can work just as you would after a regular bowel movement.
